Unemployment!

So, a couple of weeks ago I bailed from my job, and wound up my traineeship. Classic result of a poor workplace environment. Getting out was one of the best feelings ever, and I honestly feel sorry for anyone who is stuck in a similar situation. Getting out was a relief, but I have spent the last 3 weeks unemployed and bored shitless. My time mostly consists of playing video games, getting harassed by my cat and looking for new books to read on amazon.com. Im running out of things to do and I seem to be struggling to find the motivation to get out and play in the bush as time goes on, maybe its a sign that I should be writing some more.

I return!

So. Here i was hoping to write up some articles and get this blog up and running in a couple of weeks. What a joke. Its been almost a month since i checked in last, since then i have done many things, read some books on writing, gone on some prospecting trips in the local area, quit my job at the factory, got a new job in a nearby town and so far have yet to succumb to a fatal accident. That is a good start.

I hope to once again begin work on my pieces, and add some new ones. Here is to hoping i actually get more done this time!

Rest

Hello all and welcome back. After a busy work week and applying for a new job I found a lot of my writing was being forced. I was tired and I was starting to cut corners, skipping over facts and getting slack with my research. I decided to take a few days break to get things sorted and get my head back into the writing game. On Friday I went rabbit hunting with my brother and Saturday was spent in bed relaxing, watching seasons 3 of The Walking Dead. Here I am Sunday morning, ready to go again. I hope to plow into my writing books and try to learn some new techniques and put the finishing touches on the Urbex article along with starting some of my new ones.

Happy to see my views jumped up from 74 to over 80 in this time. I dont know who you are, but thank you for stopping in and having a read. As always, more articles coming soon!

Day 8 - First Week

I'm pleased to say I really am getting the hang of this system now. Several articles on the go, some completed and loads more ideas in planning. The long weekend coming will be a great opportunity to throw on some finishing touches and get some research done for my new pieces. Check back in the coming weeks for some out of development pages:)

Day 7 - Progress.

Still busy with work, but I found some time to get to the library and pick up some books on writing articles. Although I like to think my skills are not to bad, I am always looking to improve. I am also noticing some views from some far away places, Russia, Germany and Korea. Even if you cant understand the majority of my writing, thank you for visiting :)

I hope that I pick up a few things over the next week while going through these books. The Urban exploration article is still in the works and i have three pages of notes at hand to turn into a few 1000 word article. I hope I can get it up soon. Thank you and goodnight :)

Day 6 - Tired

Almost got three pages finished now. Will continue to add and edit, but they are good enough to go up. Trying to set a deadline of one page Monday to Friday and two for the weekends. My next piece will hopefully be on urban exploration, something I have little experience in and a topic that I am keen to expand my knowledge of. Totally wrecked from work. Time for a shower. Hopefully this time next week I will have three more pages up an running...

Day 5

Good morning all. Pleased to announce I finished my latest page 'Knives' last night along with an extensive series of pictures and information. The page obviously isn't intended to cover all the blades in production, just some of the more common ones that I have come across on my travels. Be sure to check it out. I will also be adding to my page 'Making and Saving money' and hopefully finishing it up within the next 2 days.

Some of the blades I wrote about on my latest page

I will continue to do my best to compile information throughout the week between work shifts, and hope to have the bulk done within the month. A big thank you to all who have viewed this blog already and I hope you find the time to check back later when I have gotten more done. As I have said this is my first time writing blog articles and I am very excited to see what I produce in the future.

Day 4

Came outside this morning and caught my brother's ferret once again napping in our galah's seed dish. I have seen a lot of things in my life but few things are as adorable as baby animals napping. Couldn't resists sharing these. My plans to write a few articles last night were interrupted by writers block, flat batteries in my camera and one to many drinks. Hopeful that today brings me some more luck ;)
Weasel, the baby ferret hanging out in the birds seed dish.
More of weasel having a nap. So cute.

Day 3, and its finally the weekend!

Finishing work on a Friday afternoon has got to be one of the best feelings. I am hoping to do a lot of work on my pages this weekend, get up some well researched articles and post some of those pictures I have been collecting over the last few days. I will also be turning part of my bedroom into a temporary photo studio to get some snaps of the things I am yet to photograph. Hopfully tomorrow night is just as successful as I am planning to do some relic hunting at some of the busier city beaches. Last weekend I found my first ring and I would very much like to dig up another.

Day 2

Hello again to all. I was hoping for the chance to have updated and finished writing a few more of my articles today but work is keeping me busy. I sincerely ask anyone interested in the outdoors, hiking, camping and prospecting to check back often as information comes available. Even readers unfamiliar with the outdoors may find some information of interest amongst my pages.

Im shocked that nearly 40 people have already viewed this blog and hope to do some major work on it over the coming weekend. This includes retitling existing pages and adding new ones, uploading a few pictures of the areas I visited on my last holiday, photos of the equipment that I carry each day, and some more specialized equipment I use whilst out and about.

Thankyou all, and goodnight. I hope that those who come across this page in the next few days check back in the future once I have more in place.

Hello all, and welcome.

This is my first time blogging, and I must say there is a fair bit to it, HTML, Hyperlinks, text boxes and all kinds of other things to confuse those who do not often dabble in the witchcraft of technology. I apologize to those who come across this blog whilst I am compiling my articles. What brings a technological illiterate like myself to Blogger you might ask? Adventure.

Reading is one of my greatest interests, and as a child I loved tales of great adventures most of all. Lone heroes setting off across the country, battling through swamps and hills, mountains and deserts usually to retrieve a mighty weapon to vanquish some ancient evil creeping across the land. Obviously this influenced me a great deal, and as I have grown older and come into more resources I have begun to undertake my own adventures and it is through this blog that I hope to share my achievements, failures and discoveries. I hope In time I can provide enough information to get others on their feet and off on their own adventures be it hiking, treasure hunting or simply living a full and fulfilling life.
